6018369825 37044714c3 m Benefits of Accounting Services for Small Business

We are living in 2010, practically everyone is using the internet, can we agree on this? Great! Now that we have covered that lets look into Internet and Small Businesses and Website Design for Small Businesses shall we?

A recent study shows interesting statistics on small businesses and the internet, to be exact small businesses with or without websites.

The study reveals that 49% of small businesses currently have a website. Now that is all fine and dandy but if we look a little bit more in depth we can see very interesting statistics:

The percentage of businesses that have a website by their annual sales size:

]]>

45% of companies that make $100k-$499k a year have a website.
49% of companies that make $500k-$999k a year have a website.
69% of companies that make $1.0 Million-$2.49 Million a year have a website.
67% of companies that make $2.5 Million-$4.49 Million a year have a website.
73% of companies that make $5.0 Million-$10.0 Million a year have a website.

So what can we learn from this? The more money a company makes, the more prone they are to have a website? Or looking at it from a different angle we can see that if you want to make big money with your business you are most likely in need of website design for your small business.

Having a website for your small business will help gain you new business from the Internet, and lets be honest, most people will be searching for your type of product or service on the internet. Why? Because it is just way easier then flipping through the yellowpages or any other form of finding products and services.

Finding successful website design for small businesses isn’t very difficult and isn’t expensive at all these days. You don’t really need to know anything about the internet or building a website to make this happen, you just need to find the right company or resource that can build you a quality website for an affordable price and let them do all the technical stuff.

If your small business isn’t on the internet today then you are losing money every passing day, think about that.

    I'm in the U.S., but
    1. I would not consider using this business, nor do I think any business would need your services. As a side note, please double check your spelling, because no business would even consider you if you don't know how to spell "organizing NOT organising." No family is so large that they cannot organize their life and for a business, it would not make sense to outsource their secretary, because they have more control over the secretary if s/he is employed. Families are not that busy that they cannot plan their own lives or vacation time (even though people complain there is not enough time in a day, but even still they don't need someone to tell them how to manage their time.)

Secretaries are for more than just organizing schedules in any business. They handle all the paperwork that whomever their employer is, they receive calls, make letters to whomever they may need to pertaining to business. You can always just search "Secretary job description" and you'll get an idea of what I mean. It makes more sense to have a secretary right outside your office, then a block or so away just because you are outsourcing. Even if it is less costly for the business, it is more of a hassle and there is a lot more miscommunication between them.

Although I could be wrong, it could be beneficial to some extent, but I don't see why there is a need to outsource. Lets just say this does work and you get companies to use your service. You would have say ten companies as you are starting your company. Of course you, cannot do all of this yourself, so you hire three other people to manage what needs to be done. All of a sudden each company is calling every hour with schedule changes, or new paperwork that needs to be processed and there are 4 deadlines by 5pm today etc. You and your team of three cannot handle all the work. The companies get upset and they quit on you. Not good. Okay so then you decide to hire more people to work for you. So you have a team of 6 including yourself still assuming we have the ten companies doing business with you. Okay, now it is more efficient to get work done, and there aren't too many complaints from companies to get what is done, But now costs for you have gone up because you have to pay everybody at least minimum wage, but of course they'll be asking for more from you or they'll quit, because they can get paid better elsewhere or they won't work as efficient because they aren't getting paid well. Of course hardly any business yields a profit until maybe their fifth year in operation, but still. These are all things to keep in mind. I'm not saying this couldn't work, but I find it easier to have someone right outside your office to talk to all the time and keep up to date on what is going on and is giving undivided attention to just company matters, taking notes at meetings, and whatever else they are told to do. Which is a lot better than calling your secretary to handle things. Also the secretary is the public relations for the business and whenever the business or main person is not able to talk, the secretary handles any clients.

These are my views, but I'm sure you can do some research and prove me wrong can't you. A Family market, I really don't think there is one. But instead of just generally saying "come to me and I'll be your outsourced secretary" Come up with specific companies or businesses that have a definite need in your company or that could benefit in outsourcing. I think a better way of researching this is actually talking with secretaries and talking with how their job is and if they are constantly doing something or have some slack time where they can work on other matters. This could be important in seeing how possible it is for a secretary that you would have could juggle different accounts. Then knowing the limit on what a secretary can juggle can help you figure out how many employees to hire, but don't forget the Law of Diminishing Returns.

Also, the fee would have to be fixed because the secretaries that work for you would be monitoring the business constantly.
I do not have a name idea.

As i can see, you might not need Quickbooks as urgent, or would do any much influence on your business.. Yet it would help in organizing only and give you feedback on certain sales volumes, database, etc….
If you work as you said and not intending to grow much.. i don't think quickbox will add any value.. yet Quicken might be of value for same purpose as well..

Good luck and have a great day .

@Someideasandstuff You’re right about what you said -’only JESUS can create jobs’, so Perry 2012 won’t be able to create jobs, like his republican team mates, who destroyed the economy 8 years ago, and he didn’t give a good advice in terms of the economy progressing, that is why he can’t do anything himself !!!

@Someideasandstuff Jesus didnt even exist, religion is a scheme to gain control and rule the men for the people in power at the time. Nothing more. Do your homework. Dont follow religion blindly. It will only abuse and surpress people.

@Josephdaz1 End anonymous campaign donations and create strict laws against gerrymandering.

Once that happens your vote will count again.

Personally I’m 100% in favor of all social safety-net programs. The quality of life in a nation isn’t defined by it’s richest, it’s defined by the well-being of it’s poorest.

I think you should sit down with your partner and see what you could do to improve your Inn. If you have a log book with the address's of past guest send them a questionnaire ask about the things they like and disliked about the Inn. do you offer a continental breakfast and tea in the afternoon with lite horsd 'oeuvres. Some places have beautiful gardens where guest walk though or just sit and relax. You have to keep in mind that a bed and breakfast Inn is seasonal You may take a weekend and visit a inn in your area just to see what they are doing it will help you fine tune your place. In the mean time keep your job until the inn starts to make money.

ok so I think you mean that you have to file form 1040 SE for self employment, not form 1099-MISC with the IRS. Form 1099-MISC is something the contractor (ex: FEDEX) have to give to you to show you how much they paid you that year.
You don't necessarily have to incorporate. Incorporation (LLC, LLP, CORP, etc.) is mainly for liability purposes. If you're worried that you'll get sued and loose your house and properties because of your subcontract job then yes I would advise you to get incorporated. However, the way I see it if you're just driving around delivering products safely and legally, and you have car insurance and health insurance and whatnot then I don't think you need to.
If you are doing self employment, then you will need to file quarterly taxes (not just once a year). You might want to talk to a tax specialist because there's a lot more info than I can post on here. You have to track all your mileage (use a log book) and take out those mileage for personal use (trust me the IRS can tell). Try to put all your receipts in a box so you don't loose them, and use a credit card if possible cause it will track expenses easier. You can use Quickbook to track. I really think you should consult a tax specialist at least on your first year of tax filing. I think HR Block charges $100 per business tax filing.
Send me a message if you need more clarification.

Sounds quite easy compared to a 3 year Business diploma, which is what I'm in.

I don't think it's wise to fire an employee, just because he would get some tax break.

    1. If I had 15 full time employees on board, it means that my company did need them all. Got to think more in terms of what the business needs and not run after "quick" money.

    2. By firing a "junior" accountant, he might have lost a very capable person, who in the long run might have made more money for the company than whatever he would have got from the government.

    3. Robert should have calculated (he should know numbers as he has accounting firm…) how much "savings" the NYC program would bring. Then, figure out how to expand his business, perhaps hire more staff and generate more income for the business. Perhaps expand the business, instead of "shrinking it".

    4. in other words, this would be an opportunity to take an overall look at the business and not pick on the trees, he's got to look more at the forest.

@lildwayne21 It’s not what I want, but it’s what he wants. Tell me, do you think the country will be better after we get rid of that pesky Civil Rights act and outlaw Social Security? Or will it be better when fantasy-land comes true and all our money has an imaginary gold bar backing it up?

Or do you think that your life isn’t actually as shitty as he’d like you to think?

@burn435353 Dem or GOP it makes no difference. It’s the individual we need to evaluate don’t let some political affiliation or group make your decisions. We have a government set up by the GOP and Dems that is killing our nation by spending $ they do not have. We need to stop them, force them to balance their check book just like we have to everyday. If don’t they will destroy us. We must make it illegal for governement to spend more $ than they have. We need a Balance Budget Amendment.

It's AFLAC, of course it is a sales position.

Cold calling is the primary way they get business, I get calls every 2 or 3 months or so for my business.

You will also have to be licensed, but AFLAC would (probably) pay for the classes & test.

    Good luck
